Besides going to school at BYU, we also lived in Orem for almost 5 years when our oldest two boys were little. "The Animal Place" (aka the Bean Natural History Museum) on campus was one of our favorite places to visit. Our kids loved it, and best of all, it was free! It was fun to take them back there on our trip, and take the younger kids too. We also took them on a little trip down memory lane, showing them Utah Valley Medical center where the first three of them were born, all three of our Orem apartments, and one of our other favorite spot, the Orem public library. We just love the gorgeous fairy tale stained glass window and fun puppet theater there. That is another place that we spent an awful lot of time, especially when we lived right across the street! We really miss it there and were happy to be back for a little while. It was especially wonderful to see the mountains that we used to look up at everyday. Since I didn't grow up there I really never did take them for granted, and always noticed them and loved the amazing view we always had. We definitely left a little, or even a big piece of our collective family heart in Utah!
I'm a stay-at-home mom of five who likes photography, quilting, reading, cooking when I'm in the mood, watching movies, going to the beach, home renovation and decorating, swimming, and hanging out with my kids. At the moment I'm a bit obsessed with Downton Abbey.
I live in New England, and my favorite season is spring. I love the colors green and pink.
